Welcome to

Founded in 2002, the Gibson Foundation is committed to making the world a better place for children by creating, developing and supporting programs and other non-profit organizations in their efforts to advance education, music and the arts, the environment, and health & welfare causes.

Supported Projects
The Arc of San Antonio
The Arc of San Antonio helps families caring for children intellectual and development disabilities connect to community programs and funding sources. One of the greatest challenges for families caring for individuals with significant disabilities is finding quality, affordable care that meets the developmental, physical, or behavioral needs of their family member. The Arc of San Antonio works with children through their life enrichment programs. These programs allow children with I/DD to be a part of the community, learn new skills, enhance current skills and have fun with friends. The goal is to help families move toward greater independence and self-advocacy. Gibson Foundation is proud to help them in their journey.

Oasis Center
Oasis offers safety and support to Nashville’s most vulnerable and disconnected youth, while seeking to also teach young people how to transform the conditions that create problems for them in the first place. With a mission of helping young people move into a happy, healthy and productive adulthood. They recognize that the lives of their young people are complex, and that supporting their healthy transition to adulthood can’t happen through a singular support.

Oasis currently offers 21 programs ranging from Nashville’s only crisis teen shelter to Nashville’s only college counseling center for first generation college students. Over a third of their young people are involved in more than one of our programs or services. And that’s how we’re making a real difference in the lives of Nashville’s youth.

Belmont University Les Paul Innovation Award Fund
As a result of the Gibson Foundation’s research endowment to Belmont University (The Les Paul Innovation Award Fund), the 1st recipient of the grant (Dr. Eric Tarr) brought his “History of Music Recording” class to tour the Gibson USA and Epiphone plants with the learning objective to understand the significance of Les Paul’s innovations. (And apparently, to have a respectful amount of fun.)

Tennessee Kidney Foundation
Nashville citizens from all across the Country showed their support for the Tennessee Kidney Foundation during its recent annual fundraising dinner and live auction.

The TV cast of “Nashville” collectively signed one beautiful Gibson Les Paul for the fund-raising auction, while legendary Peter Frampton autographed another.

The Tennessee Kidney Foundation works to improve the health and well-being of those affected by kidney disease, through education, prevention, treatment, advocacy, and promotion of organ donation.

We at Gibson Foundation are delighted to be able to help Tennessee Kidney Foundation in their efforts to provide our neighbors with the best quality of life possible.

We all have dreams!

Two years ago, Jeron’s dream was to design his own custom Gibson guitar. This 14 year old from Utah was fighting leukemia, and Gibson Foundation partnered with Make-a-Wish Foundation to help bring his dream to life.

Gibson USA invited Jeron to spend a day at their incredible factory and helped him create his dream guitar.

This picture shows Jeron today, healthy and still enjoying his Gibson guitar.

His mom, Jennifer, wrote these kind words to us:
“Jeron’s Make-A-Wish was the greatest experience of his life and he is grateful for the continued support that Make-A-Wish and Gibson provide.”
